Default 38 M&P 1905 Fourth Change Question

I found a fair to less than fair condition 4th change in a LGS friday. In researching it in the SCSW I read the following excerpts in the description and variations sections:

"Round butt or square butt (scarce) frame with service stocks or square butt only frame..." pp. 139

"Variations

Square butt frame worth two times value." pp. 140

The gun I located is a square butt. In looking on this site and other internet locations, ALL the 1905, fourth change guns I have seen photos of had the Square Butt. I have seen others in person over the years and cannot remember ever seeing a round butt

My question is the SCSW correct or is it a misprint? Second, if the SCSW is correct, is the square butt really worth more? This will aid in my decision to purchase or pass.

Thanks,

Bill
