Yep, for those who want the small package and light weight with less recoil, the .380 is a good compromise. A 9mm in the same package would be too painful and hard to shoot well for many people. The BG380 is small enough to be a true pocket pistol, unlike the Shield, etc. Yes, some people pocket carry a Shield, but those are exceptions.

I've got a Shield and a BG380 and like having both. I would have gotten the M&P BG380 if that were an option at the time.
