Y'all are taking about replacing the 3913, I'm thinking it could replace my J-frame. Looking at the pics of the J-frame on top of the original Model 51, I'm thinking that would be good for when I want something smaller than my Commander.
Right now when I want something smaller I have three choices. A J-frame, my older .380 Mustang or a Colt Model M. Well the Colts are something of collectors items including the Mustang these days. And frankly, J-frames have never fit my hand well. The new Model 51 may be just what I'm looking for.
Also, if its built half as well as Remington's 1911s, they've got a real winner.
