I bought this rifle to add to my varmint guns. At the same time I also bought a Steyr SSG PII in .308. I took the SSG on all the subsequent hunting trips in Montana and left the AR-10 in the safe. I did set it up for hunting (see pix w/scope).

but didn’t need semi-auto for the area we were hunting in MT and SD.
The 10’s muzzle brake is very effective for recoil reduction when using a high power scope.
Total round count is 80, ALL were Federal .308 Match, 168 gr. Sierra® MatchKing BTHP factory rounds.
