I'm not sure it is. Your claim that its a diode shortage by CT's supplier could be the issue. If you're on the CT procurement team with insight into the cause of the purported shortage, then I'd say your spot on.
Otherwise, the verbiage "Production Issue" came from a CT employee, (Molly). Perhaps she has more knowledge of the issue than us forumites.
