I've had my share of G26s and always returned to the 19. Now I'm trying out a G30SF which is about the same size as the 19 but notably thicker.
If it feels good and you can shoot it, go for it!
But I'd be amiss if I didn't at least recommend a 3913 or 6906 if you can find one.
