Tex, as of a couple of years ago, Georgia's knife laws are basically this. If it has a blade, you can own it. If it has a blade more than 5 inches you can still own it but you must have a Georgia Weapons License to carry it open or concealed outside of your property, car or place of business. The 2012 law also preempted local statutes like Atlanta's stricter laws which banned any knife with a blade over 3 inches and all lockback knives.
