I'm a wheelgun guy, so other than my 39-2 I have little experience with the autos.

My son was offered a SD40VE for $300. Would be another $25 for a NY transfer. Supposedly it was only fired 100x and it comes with "several 100" rounds of new factory ammo. Don't load that caliber so need to add dies, bullet mold, etc. to the cost.

A quick search came up with some not so good reviews. What do the experts say about this gun and the price?
