Well, almost. I have a Sigma SW9ve (an SD before the upgrade) and a Ruger SR9c. Also have a SD40ve. I think the SR9 just has a slightly longer barrel than the SR9c.
Sorry, Smith and Wesson folks, but there isn't even a comparison. I consider my SR9c more on the quality level of my CZ's than my affordable Smiths, only it's far more carry-able with the polymer frame.
But rather than either/or, I'd say both.
I consider my sw and sd pistols to be ideal good quality back ups. Reliable, accurate, affordable. Also, if you're able to shoot both, and you prefer the SD, get that. They're both fine guns, the SR9 is just a little upscale.
