With all due respect, my friends, the Shorty 9 is the
size of a 6900 series, but I must plead my correctness in describing it as a 5906 PC-9 the way the labels on the boxes read on these particular pistols -- the ones with no billboard on them, unlike the way the later Shorty 9s were.
It's one of those idiosyncracies of the S&W numbering system, the way the original Shorty 40 was described as a PC 4006.
Not trying to be a stickler here, but right is right.
And I'm right so seldom, I need to milk this for all it is worth.
