if reliability is your main issue, i can offer my own history with the sd9ve 2700 rounds not 1 hiccup, fte, or ftf. never owned the ruger your referring to. have owned many other rugers all great guns. that being said ive been looking for another sd9ve looking for a used one.... for 3 weeks now... havnt seen one yet. good luck on your choice
