Mine was purchased with a red post on patridge front sight. I am the second owner so I don't know if it was ordered like that or changed.
One thing I do know is that the CHEAP CHEEZY etched lettering on both my 686 & 629 mtn guns has worn off. They are "nameless" now. OK though I'll keep "em" and enjoy "em".
