In the 1980s I purchased a S&W Model 58 (Blued). The factory 210gr. lead
bullet leaded the bore "Big Time". Tried the factory JSP round and found its recoil "Something Else". Put it on a shelf and forgot it. A few years later I started with a rural county Sheriff Department and remembered the Model 58. I purchased 210gr Silvertips and liked the revolver and the ammo to the point I used it for a service weapon. Later I "Retired" it due to the cost of ammo (I didn't reload) plus difficulty of locating ammo and replaced it with a converted .44mag Model 28 4". #2 Son has the Model 28 now and loves it.
