Omark - I haven't tried W-748 for this rifle but do use it exclusively for my 5.56 rifles. It's a good powder and I've read quite useful for 7.62. I like reloading 748 much more than stick powders for sure. Based on performance in my 5.56 rifles, I can't see a reason not to use W-748 in your .308 AR. Just try the recommended load range as usual to find the one that's most accurate but cycles the action properly. Can't go wrong I believe. Good luck!
