You guys are tearing me up with this thread!

I have a 4" 29-2, a 6.5" 629 Classic, A 6" HP, and a 4" 19-3... See what is missing in my modest little collection???!!

My first experience with a model 57 was very much regrettable and if I could go back in time I would kick my own rear...

At the LGS choosing my first S&W... I was looking at a new 686-6, and a used 629 no dash trying to decide... Shop owner passed me a Smith m57 (that was cheaper than the new 686) and informed me it was a 41 mag... What?? 41 mag?? Never heard of that! What is it?? At the time I was not yet handloading and mostly due to my thought that ammo would be hard to come by, I passed on the 57 and opted for the new 686! STUPID I KNOW!

Now I am obsessed with procuring a 4" m57.... Mostly because of what I have learned from being a member here...

Next Smith I get a kitchen pass for will be a 57... till then, I can only dream.....
