Sorry, you are only partially correct. The round count has nothing to do with it; neither does the follower itself. The fact is that S&W CHOOSES not to put a load assist in
before pinning the long magazine. Remove the pin and the floor plate and the follower drops right out, just like thr shorty and the 25 round magazine.
