Both the kid and I carry one for CCW. No issues or failures; 100% dependable in over 1000 rounds each. Sights close to point of impact and nicely accurate to boot.

I've had shooters with rather small hands successfully try my Shield; it fits a range of hands well.

I'd suggest doing a rental to try one out for you just to be sure it fits.
