As I said before, I do love my Shield, but your wife is the one who needs to make the decision. It is always better for her to decide for herself. My wife, after shooting my Shield and others, opted for the Glock 42. She loves it. She can shoot is all day and have no discomfort. It is an accurate and soft shooter. It is also lighter fully loaded than the Shield is unloaded.
