Like others have stated, the Shield takes a little more elbow grease to rack the slide. If you think dropping the slide by using the Slide Stop lever will be an alternative to putting a round in the chamber, then plan on adding even more elbow grease because that's stiff too. Then when it comes to loading the magazine by hand, plan on having a hard time and sore fingers... Those 3 things are my only gripe about the Shield, and it's kind of nudging me towards looking for a new CCW.
