Hello gang, sorry for the "necropost", but promised I would respond back once my 640-3 was returned by S&W for the overclocked barrel.

Just received it back from FedEx. After a critical OCD inspection, it appears darned near perfect! Looks like they put some rounds through it to be sure, as I sent it in spotless, and the front of the cylinder and the forcing cone have slight burn marks.

Also, total turn-around time from shipping through today was exactly 21 days.

Long story short... I am pleased. My apologies in advance that I didn't take before/after pictures to post.
