Instead of cutting the barrel, buy a 3" barrel and have it installed. Numrich shows a blue, 3" heavy barrel in stock for a 13-2 for $124.85

As to the round butt deal, I rather leave it as-is personally. That would be up to you if the extra money needed to do this is feasible.
