What the Ravenal bridge replaced was a real trip. Old cantilever truss job, the John P. Grace Memorial bridge, built in 1929, one of the scariest bridges in the country and carried modern traffic into 1995. I have some videos of it being demolished by explosives. It was used in one of the Die Hard movies.
