A .44 DA Frontier Model is in caliber 44-40, and would have a cylinder length of 1 9/16ths inches. If that's what your cylinder measures, then the gun was made on May 29, 1889. If the cylinder is only 1 7/16ths, then the gun is a .44DA Model in .44 Russian caliber, made Feb. 3, 1882, with wood stocks. A factory historical letter will tell you when the gun was shipped. It's current value is minimal as a parts donor, only a few hundred dollars to someone looking for parts. Ed. ( What's the 2nd item ? )
