I am going back to shooting .45 ACP -after a brief haiatus-in both semi-auto and revolvers. To make the onerous task of finding my ejected brass easier I just bought a mosquito net off of ebay to catch the precious little buggers. That should sure beat searching thru the weeds. I wonder why you had so much trouble with your early 1911`s I have never had one that wasn't totally reliable?
