Here's one of my favorite 1911's along with my 5" S&W Model 625-6, a GREAT performer in it's own right:





I also have great positive feelings for a accurized 1911 but I have to chase brass and at my advanced age, it isn't much fun. This particular 1911 was built up by ex-Gunnery Sergeant Harold Johnson (builder of McMillan's guns in the Marine Corp) with a National Match barrel and bushing, proper tang, trigger job, etc, sighted by Richard Heinie and a bit of bling via hand carved Elephant Ivory grips (cost my wife $6.95 back in the early Sixties (:>))...

Last year I gifted this 1911 to my Son-in-law- a fine man, husband and father, as well as a gifted shooter.
