I have a funny story to relate regarding that 1911. My grandson is now eight years old. He is an ABSOLUTE fan of the Robert Redford movie about Jeremiah Smith, the mountain man.

Last year, my grandson asked his father to take him primitive camping. They live in Utah and have spent a lot of time outdoors (car and tent camping and hiking). He wanted to have his father to hike in with him, build a primitive shelter and spend the whole weekend living like a mountain man. My son-in-law agreed. In the movie, Jeremiah Johnson had bear trouble. The primitive area still has bears in the area. So, my grandson, said, "Dad, I think it would be a good idea for you to take PaPaw's .45 with us". They did and had a wonderful time.
