Here in the state of Georgia, the people at the DMV told me where I had to meet someone from the VA to look at my DD form 214 (the courthouse I think). Got the "Veteran" status on my DL, and I never have to pay for another one again in the state of Georgia. Even if I lost it a hundred times. To answer your question, no I wouldn't get a military veteran card.
