I have a blued 1st Model with the serial # 3xx that belonged to my grandfather. After reading the posts here, I took the grips off and the serial # is written in pencil. I did get the letter and it told me it was shipped in Jan 1900. I would appreciate any other info on this model. I'm far from being educated on these models. Thanks!
