A 686 converted to shoot PPC matches would certainly have been intended to shoot light .38 loads, but the frame and cylinder were definitely spec'd for .357 Magnum.
What happened, exactly? And what was the source of the ammo? And did you notice anything abnormal in your last shot BEFORE the shot that did that damage?
Love the ramp with the extended sight radius!
Waffles, love those grips! What is barrel length?
My experience is that S&W won't mess with your trigger/action work. It's Ruger that will put it back to stock even if doing unrelated work.BTW....I refuse to send my PPC revolvers back to S&W for the M modification. I don't want anyone to mess around with my triggers.
I have a PPC gun made on a model 10 By Cheshire and Perez some years ago. I know that C&R have been out of business for quite some time, but it is a very nice, smooth gun with a slab sided barrel and Aristocrat Triset rib and underlug. It has a nicely engineered forward lock-up on the underlug. I don't shoot PPC as I am not a LEO, but I enjoy the gun a lot. It was very low priced and I added it to my home for lonely target pistols. Is PPC still only available to LEOS or does it depend on the club or which state you live in?
