i just bought a vortex for my mp 10 a couple weeks ago, they also have the cantilever mount for the ar style rifles, i went with the 2 inch model. so far everything works perfect. i got the vortex viper 6-24x50 ffp with the ebr2c mrad reticle, the scope was 900 bucks, the mount was 90 bucks, this is the most i have ever spent on a scope, but this is also the most i have ever spent on a rifle too. im sure you could get some real good results with a nikon or any other medium priced scope too, i just wanted to try out the vortex company. but regardless of what scope i got i would definitley get the cantlever mount. if not, you WILL have eye relief problems and even worse than that, when you weld your cheek youll be looking over the top of it. just my 2 cents, good luck
