I don't care how many times I read that thread and look at Dave's .44 Special, there's always room for another look. That is one of the finest projects I have seen anyone accomplish. It puts me in a mind to try to do something similar, although I don't think I could get too close to that level of perfection. I almost had an old buddy who is a retired Deputy talked into a trade for a Model of 1926, 4", but I couldn't find anything to tempt him enough to close the deal, so I'm still looking for the components to make my own.
