Here is another of mine...my current favorite. I bought this Combat Elite in 1987. It had fixed sites, a plastic MSH, spur hammer, collet bushing, rubber Pachmayr grips, poor trigger, etc. I shot tens of thousands of rounds through it, breaking the slide stop lever and the thumb safety in the process, though at different times. Other parts were worn, lots of holster wear, etc. Decided to send it to Wilson. The only mod it had was adjustable Millet sites (no longer made). I had them swap out most parts for "bullet proof" (read: non-MIM) parts, including a beaver tail, speed chute, and commander hammer. Wilson added a bushing less barrel as well. They re-polished the flats of the frame, and bead blasted the curves. Turnbull re-blued the slide. I added elk grip panels from Eagle. Now it shoots better than ever, with looks to boot!. Hope you like it:
