I got my mind wrapped around the muzzle cap disk. Guess the Navy felt a much thicker disk would be better at keeping water out of the suppressor...

With the barrel cap, I am confused, which is not too difficult for me. Does the interior of the barrel cap have "padding" to more or less cushion the threaded barrel in case it was dropped muzzle down? What is the actual material thickness? I guess it is 0.125" thick, but what IS the actual material? It looks to be like a rubberized thing from the images, but perhaps not a vinyl substance.

We will get things troubleshot yet...
