Hello 824tsv. It started out a 1950 38 super & I think Clark did the work in the 50s but his name is not on it. The barrel is a two piece silver soldered 38 super & shoots a .356 bullet. My Clark long slide on the left shoots a .357 bullet. The slide was maybe too heavy & they had to do some drilling to lighten up. The Clark doesn't have holes drilled in it. The long slide works best with 3.2 of Clays --3.2 American Select--or 3.1 of Bullseye to lock back on the last shot. Fun to shoot.. If you have the correct magazines for these 38 specials you better not loose them or get mixed up. Here are a couple more long slides.
The one on the right uses .356 bullets also. These are late 60s guns. They need to be sent back to Clark for a refinish but they work ok. 1-23 is John Browning's birthday.
