That would seem so & with a
bobbed hammer that's even more difficult. I
believe if once you start manually lowering the hammer, and you
fully release the trigger, the firing pin safety will be engaged & resist the hammers impact when you release it the last little bit? But if you continue to hold the trigger rearward the firing pin safety will
not be engaged; not good.
Either way, I agree it reduces the safety of the pistol for sure.
