Sometimes you get no warning. In 1998 at the age of 53 I was on a treadmill in the hospital when two doctors grabbed me by the arms and put me on a gurney. I could hear them talking and saying stuff like, "Wow do you see that, it's actually happening now." Shortly thereafter following a angioplasty failure I underwent a quintuple bypass. 17 1/2 years later I am still here (knock on wood) and haven't plugged up again. If I don't get back to walking daily I may be able to give you a better idea of heart attack symptoms. In 1998 I had none, just a general feeling of fatigue that drove me to asking for a stress test.
