With the serial number you've given, JP@AK is correct that the [U]shipping[U]date is probably 1987. There is no database that lists the date of manufacture but you can assume it was within the 1987 time frame give or take a year.

I have a similar Model 60. Serial # on mine is R621XX, which dates to 1971-1972. It does have the pinned barrel, small two piece box with paperwork as you describe. Appears unfired after the factory test. The original hang tag is included and give the price at $289. I paid $600 for it about a year ago which I thought was a fair price at the time. Yours is probably worth about that as JP@AK says.
