That’s a tough one as the way I look at it, the perfect gun for me is the one I shoot the best. Back when I was young, fast, agile and muscular, my choice would’ve been something entirely different than today in my 6th decade. My body is part of the overall mechanism that makes the bullet hit the target. Onward: My Smith& Wesson Model 17–2 with the 5 ½ inch barrel, combined with a particular load is what I do best with. BTW, I do carry this particular revolver and surprisingly it isn't as difficult to CC as you might imagine. Of course you have to be somewhat creative and willing to spend the extra money for the select holsters that will do the job. Now, when the summer temps reach upward to 115° I compromise to a 7-shot S&W 351 .22 mag w/CT LG350 Grips. Dang, that last part almost sounded like I knew what I was talking about.
