...and the smaller the caliber the more accurate you have to be.
But make no mistake the average FBI or cop on the street is no more accurate than you are.
More people have been killed with a .22 than any other caliber.
The stats are out there to prove that in fact. (however I'd say it was more luck hitting a vital than accuracy)
I really like the .380 caliber and with the new ammo technology available today it's become a viable carry round, problem is I'm a terrible shot. Hitting an arm or leg might not stop the threat long enough to make it to safety and if they are jacked up on drugs that changes everything as well.
If it was legal my preferred carry would be a sawed-off shotgun.
