I own an Australian Mod 1917 in the holster pictured below. My father traded a camera for it from a member of the Australian military. He met the guy at a makeshift pub they had constructed in an old C-119 at Kimpo Airfield I believe, or it could have been Deagu.

It was his "traveling gun" when we drove from one duty station to another across the US. He kept it under the front seat of the car. The rest of the time it was in his night stand, and readily accessible to me from age 5-18, and low an behold, I never shot myself or anyone else with it.

I always thought the side cartridge loops were cool. It also has a narrow loop along the holster for a cleaning rod that runs above the side above the barrel.
