I would agree with growr. Tooling for a production run is set up to do a fixed number of knives ( that's why the marketing info says " 1st Production Run") etc., then tooling is taken down. If sales indicate more knives can be sold, a new tooling set up is done and another set of the same model gets made, however the markings may be from a new set of stamps. 0r, in some cases a new vendor does the next run, using their own tooling.
