I don't suppose anyone has a possible example of one of the 500 1899 Navy revolvers that were purchased in July 1940 by the United Kingdom along with 500,000 M1917 rifles and 80,000 assorted machine guns, from U.S. stocks?

The revolver would almost certainly have British commercial proof marks. Weather any received British ordnance inspection marks is unknown at this point.
