I will just mention something I saw YEARS ago in a pickup. The person had pulled the rubber pad off of the (foot operated) parking brake...then slid a holster up onto the metal piece - the portion that would normally go through your belt. He somehow permanently affixed it to that metal pedal lever...and replaced the rubber pad. He could lean forward and grab the gun out of the holster without issue.
