A good friend of mine used to carry in a belly band worn up on his chest. He'd position it so the gun was tucked in under his left arm and then wore western shirts with snaps over it for easy access. Its a variation on the "Superman" carry.
His EDC was a 6" Model 29.
It worked great for him and he said it was quite comfortable. I knew it was there, but had to look close to see if he was armed. But then, he was a big ol' barrel chested guy. So hiding that big .44 wasn't too difficult.
