With all the different ammunition going off, the perp will likely assume that he's walked into an ambush by a platoon of soldiers.
I think those that shoot small game, pests or are around snakes could find one useful. I'm just not one of those people. There is no reason why it wouldn't make a good house gun.
If you want to carry it, fine, too. It may raise questions though about why you needed to carry a shotgun the size of a pistol.
