Now I see what the problem is. Twenty years ago, Bonkers got a hole in his head. Comically, this post is the only one he's written that makes any sense. Usually the husband buys the guns.

Now, to add value to the thread, story-time:

I know a guy that was getting his wife a carry gun. Winds up with a little Taurus .380. Miserable selection--she has arthritis, and can't even rack the slide, much less shoot it comfortably.

Now, I know this guy to normally have decent taste in handguns--S&Ws, 1911s of various quality makes, Rugers, Glocks, Sigs...if it's decent, he's got it. This was the first Taurus I'd ever seen him with.

"Why'd you get a Taurus?" I asked.

"It was only $275 out the door, brand-new!" he exclaimed.

I opined that perhaps it was unwise to tell his wife that when shopping for her defensive handgun, he picked the one that was cheapest.

If I'd been thinking clearly, I would have suggested that if he gave me one of his Dillon 650s, I might be too busy reloading to tell her myself!
