The state of Michigan changed the law on renewal requirements effective Jan 1 of this year. We are no longer required to take the training course over, but the renewal fee has increased.

You can confirm this by calling the State Police in Lansing and asking for Deb Smith in the CPL Division. She is their "go too" person.
