Isn't it ironic, that on this forum, barely any S&W pistols have been mentioned? I owned two fairly early models, a 39 and 59. In all aspects they were OK, but as my shooting and collecting tastes evolved, I moved on to what I see as superior guns. They made a great revolver once (as compared to the current crop), but their semi-auto's were and are easy to one-up.
