Picked up this early 1966 Colt SP1 at my LGS earlier this month.
It's all original. It came out of an estate in California and from
the looks of it hung on a wall or something. It had dust all over
the rear sight, front sight, and on the gas tube.

These early models used a roll pin to hold the buffer tube onto
the lower receiver. Also, the bolt carrier has no notches , and
the bore and chamber are not chrome lined.
The front sight base is cast instead of forged, and all the
steel parts have a nice brown patina to them. The safety se-
lector is dimpled on both sides too. Haven't shot it yet.
