Not a note/post I thought I'd start 2017 on, but to all the fellow 'good' guys out there, civilians and LEO alike, my fiancee and I had a reminder of sorts today that Teddy Roosevelt's advice of "...walk softly and carry a big stick." applies now as much as ever.
I refrain from details as the matter has only occurred a few hours ago and I expect to need to file at least one more report, even though it was peacefully de-escalated in the end, but be safe out there folks. Even in the best parts of any town or city in broad daylight things can and do happen, and tonight I'm going to bed grateful to my maker and Mr. Glock both that she and I are both home safe and healthy in this new year.
Best to all, and a happy new year to everyone.
